What Bulgaria is
Bulgaria sits between Romania and Poland on price and shares Romania's basic profile: EU member, functioning professional register, prices well below the Central European average, and comparatively little English-language coverage. Sofia holds most of the clinics oriented to foreign patients; Plovdiv and Varna are smaller and cheaper again.
Bulgarian dentists qualify under the EU recognition framework and the Bulgarian Dental Association maintains the register. Materials are the standard European brands — the structural cost gap, not a materials gap, is what produces the price.
Practicalities
Sofia is 3h15 from London at £60–£180 return. Hotels run £30–£65 a night, the lowest figure on this site, which matters more than it looks: implant treatment means roughly nine nights across two trips.
The trade-offs are Romania's trade-offs. Fewer full-arch specialists than Turkey or Hungary, a thinner published patient record, and the same aftercare problem every destination has. For single implants, crowns and bridges the value is real.
