Veneer cost by country

A single porcelain veneer runs £800 in the UK and £220 in Turkey. Because veneers are almost always done in sets, that per-tooth gap multiplies faster than any other procedure on this site.

What a set actually costs

Nobody has one veneer. The common treatments are a "social six" — the six upper front teeth — or a set of eight to ten across the smile line.

The single most important question about veneers abroad

"Are these veneers, or crowns?"

A veneer is a thin shell bonded to the front of the tooth, removing perhaps half a millimetre of enamel. A crown covers the entire tooth and requires filing it down substantially first — often to a peg.

Some clinics advertise "veneers" and fit crowns. The result looks more dramatic and can be done faster, which is why it happens on compressed treatment schedules. It is also irreversible: once a healthy tooth has been reduced for a crown, there is no going back to a veneer.

The tell is the timeline. Twenty teeth in five days is crown work. Genuine veneers on that many teeth take longer and cost more. Ask which, get the answer in writing, and ask to see the preparation photographs from a previous case.

Composite versus porcelain

UK cost per tooth£150–£500£500–£1,500
Turkey cost per tooth£60–£150£150–£350
Lifespan5–7 years10–15 years

VisitsOneTwo, plus lab time

Composite is applied directly in the chair and can usually be done in a single visit, which makes it a poor candidate for travelling — the saving rarely covers the trip. Porcelain needs lab work and two appointments, which suits a treatment trip well.

Where veneers are done

Turkey dominates cosmetic dental travel and has by far the highest case volume for large veneer sets. Albania is cheaper again but with much less cosmetic experience. Poland and Hungary do excellent restorative work but are less established for large aesthetic cases — if you want twenty units matched across a smile line, case volume matters.
